Open Evening

Open Eve 19th May 2017 cake stall

Our Open Event took place on Friday 19th May between 3pm and 7pm. We were encouraged by over 100 visitors, consisting of family members, supporters and interested parties.

The aim of the event was to raise awareness of our work. Workshops were set up which highlighted our teaching programme, school work, educational programme and scholarship initiative. The Teen Challenge bus was parked in the grounds emphasising our link with Teen Challenge in the outreach ministry.

Our residents participated on the day by helping to run a baking stall, a hamburger area and children’s area.

Willie Carter and David McVitie (2 former residents) testified of the transforming love of God in their lives. Willie is now trainee staff at The Haven and David teaches English in Indonesia although currently he is working on an educational programme at The Haven.

We would like to thank all who attended and all who helped out on the day.
